I've had some tangential experience with the fashion industry during my business career and have formed some feelings about it. I have tried to express these through this grouping of paintings that have been adapted from ads in fashion magazines. They range from a bit of naughtiness as in “Diamond,” to a hard look at visualizations that a Prada ad inspired, i.e., people with dead expressions that remind me of some of the characters in the book (and movie) “Dune,” to the slightly uneasy look on the face of the girl-next-door wearing a peekaboo “Little Black Thing.” What this all means remains to be seen, but it would be a fun collection for someone who may be like minded. Or not.
